El Dorado Street, Stockton, CA
Dear Mr. Valentine:
In accordance with our desire to see this project move towards closure, we have prepared
y P J
the attached interim remediation work plan. The Work Plan includes provisions for installing
a treatment system that is designed to remove the high levels of petroleum hydrocarbons in
soil in the vicinity of the former dispenser island. The plan also includes installing a
groundwater extraction system to control the spread of the groundwater plume.
Because the extent of the
roundwater plume is undefined to the east of the site the San
g
Joaquin County Environmental Health Division(SJC/EHD) will likely require additional site
characterization. The implementation of our work plan will achieve significant contaminant
removal while additional site characterization progresses. We believe that cleanup should
start without delay to prevent further spreading of the groundwater plume. In addition, the
operation of the treatment system will produce field data that will be used to develop the final
Corrective Action Plan for the site.
If you should have any questions please do not hesitate to call.
Respectfully Submitted,
Raynold I.
