Steve&Gene's Service Page 2 of 2
2315 N. EI Dorado Street May 19,2009
Stockton,CA
i
(lbs) averaging 0.0557 lbs.per day, and the total groundwater extraction mass removed
was 0.12 gallons (0.72 lbs). GTI proposes'to continue operating the remediation system
in "pulse mode". GTI indicated that the remediation system was shut off on March 26`h
and will resume in approximately two weeks to sample for TPH-g influent concentrations.
GTI proposed that if the TPH-g influent concentrations do not increase, then other
remediation alternatives will be evaluated. The EHD believes that the existing
remediation system is not effectively removing contaminants and an evaluation should
be done to improve its effectiveness. If the existing remediation system is not cost
effective, then potentially more cost effective technologies will need to be evaluated.
In the QR, GTI recommended a reduction of ground water sampling frequency in
selected monitoring wells. The EHD concurs with GTI's recommendation and directs that
the frequency of sampling be reduced as follows: MW=7, MW-9, MW-107; .MW-101;
MW-109, MW-207-,• and MW-209 to annual; MW-1 through MW-6, MW-8, MW-108,
MW109, MW-307, MW-308, and MW-309 to semi-annual.
If you have any questions, please contact Frank Girardi at (209) 953-7868.
✓" Grp
Frank Girardi, REHS Nuel C.
