' 4_ All field operations will be under the direct supervision of <br /> a registered geologist from Wm. J Hunter & Associates. <br />' 5 The County EHD will be notified a mimimum of 48 hours prior <br /> to commencing operations. <br /> 1 PM <br /> 1 . Move in Osterberg & Stewart auger rig & support truck. <br /> 2 Using clean, 6 1/4" OD hollow-stem augers, advance four (4) <br /> soil borings to approximately 30 feet bgl at the approximate <br /> locations as shown on Plate VI _ <br /> ' 3 Soil samples will be taken at 5 foot intervals from 10' to <br /> bottom, using either a California Modified splitspoon sampler or <br /> wireline operated continuous coring equipment. Both systems are <br /> ' designed to hold standard metal tubes for proper preservation of <br /> soil. samples <br /> 4 One (1) sample tube from each cored interval will be briefly <br /> described, promptly sealed with foil or teflon tape, sealed With <br /> ely <br /> ith duct <br /> sampleplasticwill beps, and labeledsandrpreservedeonwice pendingpe. The <br /> transport to <br /> sample <br /> a State Certified laboratory for analysis_ <br /> 5_ Drill cuttings & unused core material will be placed in <br /> ' properly marked and sealed drums & stored on site pending results <br /> of the laboratory analysis. <br /> 6 At the completion of drilling operations, all auger holes <br /> ' will be grouted from bottom to the surface with a cement/ben- <br /> tonite slurry as directed & witnessed by a representative of the <br /> EHD <br /> 7 The preserved soil samples will be transported under proper <br /> chain of custody to the laboratory, with instructions to test for <br /> ' BTEX (EPA 8020 , ) TPH-G & TPH-D (EPA 8015M, ) oil & grease (418 1 , ) <br /> Chloronated Hydrocarbons, (Method 8010 , ) and ICAP, (5 metals ) <br /> Detection limits to be those specified by the San Joaquin County <br /> ' EHD <br /> 8 After reviewing the field work and analyzing the results of <br /> the laboratory work, a report will be prepared and submitted to <br /> ' the San Joaquin Co. EHD for review and response. <br /> It is requested that this workplan be reviewed and approved as <br /> 5 <br />
