•
sand placement to eliminate bridging & voids Fall depths will
be monitored constantly as the auger flights are slowly with-
drawn When sand fill has stabilized, (a minimum of 2 ' above the
top of the slots, ) a bentonite seal will be placed, and the
annular space filled to the surface with a cement/bentonite
slurry. Refer to PLATE II for a schematic of the proposed well
completion.
9 . Each well will be fitted with a precast Christy-type box,
with the PVC extending into the box far enough to allow placement
of a locking casing cover The casing & box will be thoroughly
grouted into place to ensure the integrity of the seal
10 Within 18-24 after completion, each well will be developed
by use of a hard rubber cup or suitable device Purge fluids
will be placed in suitably marked sealed containers & stored on
location pending results of laboratory analyzes .
11 . As soon as practical after development, each well will be
purged, water levels determined, and water samples taken per
standard San Joaquin County EHD field protocol
. 12 . Wellhead elevations & distances between wells will be
determined by a licensed surveyor
After receipt and analysis of all of the data, a report will be
prepared and submitted to the San Joaquin County EHD staff for
review & comment .
Pending written approval of this workplan, we will begin
soliciting bids from qualified vendors . When all the required
documents have been received, we will prepare a package for
client to submit to the State Cleanup Fund staff for pre-approval
of the work. When the expenditure of those funds has been
approved, we will proceed with scheduling the work. We will keep
your office informed of the status of this project .
Wtruunter & Associates A" GE[
F14 , 1996calentine W}LLAMJ HUNTER
Fl9
NO 860
