October 27 & 28, 1993 - Four (4) soil borings were placed on the site for the purpose of <br /> determining the extent of contamination found beneath the waste oil tank Their locations <br /> are shown on PLATE M. Refer to the January, 1994 report prepared by WJH titled <br /> "PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT COVERING SOIL CONTAMINATION <br /> INVESTIGATION," for details of that work <br /> September 30, 1994 - One (1) 2" groundwater monitoring well (MW-1,) was placed on <br /> the property Details of that work is included in the WJH report titled "INTERIM <br /> REPORT AND RESULTS OF GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION", dated <br /> October 31, 1994 <br /> June 1 & 2, 1995 - Two (2) 2" monitoring wells were installed on the site The details of <br /> that work are given in the WJH report titled "INTERIM REPORT AND RESULTS OF <br /> GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION", dated August, 1995 <br /> June 23, 1996 - Monitoring wells #4, #5, & #6, and soil boring"B" were placed on the <br /> site at the locations shown on PLATE III The results of that work are detailed in the <br /> WJH report titled "INTERIM REPORT AND RESULTS OF SOIL & GROUND- <br /> WATER INVESTIGATION," dated August 14, 1996 <br /> APRIL 2, 1997 - Workplan submitted for placing up to six (6) strataprobe holes at <br /> selected offsite locations to determine the lateral limits of the groundwater plume Refer <br /> to EXHIBIT A for a copy of that workplan Their proposed locations are shown on <br /> PLATE IV EXHIBIT B is a copy of the approved drilling permit application <br /> DETAILS OF LATEST WORK: <br /> September 29, 1997 - At 0830 hours, Wm Hunter, RG from Wm J Hunter& <br /> Associates, arrived on the site previously marked for soil probe#1, (see PLATE V for <br /> it's location) At 0930, TEG's strataprobe truck arrived, Mark McMurray operator <br /> They had not brought the necessary VOA's needed to complete the Job Rather than <br /> delay the operation, Mr Hunter drove to FGL Environmental lab in Stockton and <br /> borrowed the necessary containers Although TEG had filed the proper documents and <br /> paid the required fee to the City of Stockton for the encroachment permit, it had not yet <br /> been issued A telephone call to the City staff indicated it would be completed that day, <br /> and verbal permission was given to proceed The probe truck was located on the site for <br /> SP-1, and work began at 1030 Pipe was advanced to 35' and a soil sample taken It <br /> consisted of slightly damp, fine, soft, loose sand There were no odors or evidence of <br /> contamination The sample was preserved for possible later analysis Pipe was advanced <br /> to 35' bgl, but there was no water entry Pipe was pushed & driven to 39', but there was <br /> still no entry A5 foot section of screen was run on blank FVC and run to bottom <br /> Water entry was very slow Steve Sasson of the San Joaquin Co EHD arnved during this <br /> 3 <br />
