The "bio-cell" containing the
material is about 160 feet long and 26 feet wide', and',about 4 inches think.
., The sample collected from the southern Half of the cell (designated as SPS)
was collected using hand auger soil boring tools. .,An auger bucket of soil was
collected from each of four points of the southern half of the cell. The material
was blended in the field and a standard 2-inch diameter stainless steel sample
sleeve was used to collect the final lab sample. Upon collection of the sample,
the tube was sealed, labeled, and placed in an ice chest cooled with blue ice.
The sample from the north half the cell (SPN) was similarly collected.
The samples were transported to Argon Analytical of Ceres, CA, a State-
certified analytical laboratory, under chain-of-custody protocol. The chain
Li form, was marked to 'instruct the laboratory to test the two samples for total
extractable diesel-range petroleum hydrocarbons (TEPH-D) using EPA method
j 8015m. The laboratory reported. that neither sample contained detectable
diesel-range hydrocarbons. .
i
t
.r
it 2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
