_ U <br /> Bulk Transportation Page 5 <br /> Site Conceptual Model &Closure Report <br /> GPE Project No. 606.3 <br /> August 28, 2009 <br /> August 2003 <br /> The above mentioned work plan was followed up by a report documenting the <br /> completion of the planed work, entitled Report ='-.Additional Excavation and <br /> Colz zrmation Soil Sainplb?10, Former Underground Storage Tank Site <br /> April 2007 <br /> NRC Environmental Services sampled the stockpile to determine whether the <br /> diesel-impacted soil had been adequately remediated to.allow on-site disposal. <br /> L The work was documented in a letter entitled Letter Report: Results if Soil <br /> Stockpile Sampling-. <br /> July 2009 <br /> The spoil material was re-sampled and did not contain detectable diesel <br /> hydrocarbons. <br /> 2.3 Site Status <br /> The extent of the diesel release has been fully characterized and mitigated. <br /> The mitigation was achieved by excavating the impacted material. <br /> The excavated soil contained moderate concentrations of diesel-range <br /> hydrocarbons.
