i <br /> i <br /> EI contacted the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> and reviewed the soil and groundwater files for Cove Contractors, Inc. and Heinz USA, it <br /> was determined that Cove Contractors, Inc. (3242 South EI Dorado Street) has eight (8) <br /> groundwater monitoring wells and Heinz USA (2800 South California) has none (0). Cove <br /> Contractors, Inc. is an abandoned site. Also, after a review of well permits at the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, Cutter Lumber <br /> (3430 South EI Dorado Street) was found to contain five (5) groundwater monitoring wells. <br /> The survey of drinking wells was conducted at the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division by locating the APN numbers for the property <br /> within 2000 feet of 3105 South EI Dorado Street and obtaining the situs address. These <br /> addresses were then compared to California Water Services for water hook-up. All property <br /> which was not on the California Water Services' List was then compared with the well <br /> permits for the area. Residences at 3236 Fairmont Avenue and 3377 Fairmont Avenue <br /> j were determined to have drinking wells. The residence of 3236 Fairmont Avenue has a well <br /> constructed of 6-5/8 inch well casing , drilled to a depth of 123 feet with a grout seal at 50 <br /> j feet. The residence at 3377 Fairmont Avenue has a well constructed with 6 inch casing and <br /> a 1 horsepower pump. This residence is also supplied with water by California Water <br /> Services. No information regarding the depth of this well or grout seal is available. <br /> Finally, the Department of Water Resources in Sacramento, CA was contracted to conduct <br /> a search for the following area: Township 01 North , Range 06 East, Section 23 and the <br /> western one-quarter of Section 24 (2000 foot radius of 3105 South EI Dorado Street). The <br /> well logs for the following wells are located in Appendix C, Well Logs). <br /> • 3531 Turnpike put in a private, domestic well on 12-8-88 . The well is constructed of 6- <br /> inch well casing , drilled to a depth of 160 feet with a bentonite seal to 100 feet. <br /> • 3060 Turnpike Rd . put in a private, domestic well on 10-14-67. The well is constructed <br /> of 8-inch well casing and drilled to a depth of 110 feet. <br /> • 418 Dowing Avenue put in a private, domestic well on 5-9-76. The well is constructed of <br /> 5-inch well casing, drilled to a depth of 100 feet with a seal to 50 feet. <br /> • 2943 South Hams put in a domestic well. The well is constructed of 6-inch well casing, <br /> drilled to a depth of 130 feet with a casing to 75 feet. <br /> Environeering, Inc. Project No. 95-012.01 5 <br />
