(AGE), on your behalf for the above- <br /> referenced site. In * the work plan , AGE proposes to install two additional dual phase <br /> extraction (DPE) wells and install , operate and maintain a DPE remediation system that <br /> incorporates existing soil vapor extraction wells VW-1 through VW-3, and monitoring well <br /> MW-7. The EHD had directed the submittal of this work plan by letter dated 28 June 2011 . <br /> During the advancement of the two pilot borings to approximately 40 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg ) during the installation of the DPE wells , AGE proposes to collect soil samples at five-foot <br /> intervals, beginning at ten feet bsg , for lithologic evaluation and chemical analysis. AGE <br /> proposes to analyze selected soil samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPH-g); total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-d ) ; benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene <br /> and total xylenes (BTEX); methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE) , <br /> di-isopropyl ether (DIPE) , tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), 1 ,2- <br /> dibromoethane (EDB), 1 ,2-dichloroethane (1 ,2-DCA) and lead . AGE proposes to install the <br /> DPE wells with screen intervals between approximately 10 and 40 feet bsg at locations <br /> illustrated on Figures 2 and 3 of the work plan . <br /> The EHD approves the installation of the two DPE wells as presented in the work plan. <br /> Please submit a Well and Boring Permit Application , Master File Record Information form, and <br /> permit/inspection fees to the EHD and complete the well installations by 06 December 2011 . <br /> Prior to operating the remedial system , AGE proposes to establish baseline concentrations of <br /> contaminants of concern by collecting groundwater samples from the two newly-installed DPE <br /> wells , VW-1 through VW-3, and MW-7. AGE proposes to analyze the groundwater for TPH-g , <br /> TPH-d , BTEX , MTBE , ETBE, DIPE , TAME , TBA, EDB and 1 ,2-DCA. <br />
