07 December 2000
AGE-NC Project No 97-0301
MW-1,analysis of ground water samples collected from MW-1 suggest the core of the plume
' is impacted by TPH-g, TPH-d and BTEX
• Very low concentrations of dissolved MTBE,TBA, 1,2-DCA and EDB have been previously
' detected in the area ofMW-1,MW-3 and grab ground water samples collected from P-1,P-2
and P-4 indicating that there is only a minor impact of dissolved MTBE, TBA, 1,2-DCA and
EDB to ground water in the area assessed
' The elevated petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations detected in water samples collected from
well MW-1 (screened between 30 and 50 feet bsg) suggest that this well may be screened
' within or near the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon "source area" of the plume
• The vertical extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons is not fully defined at the site, the
' lateral extent of the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon plume is not fully defined toward the
southeast, northeast, east and west of the current area bound by wells MW-1,MW-2, MW-3
and MW-4
1
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based up g p on data collected during September 2000 AGE recommends
' Continued quarterly ground water monitoring The next quarterly monitoring and sampling
event is tentatively scheduled for December 2000
' Continued utilization of wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 for characterization of
ground water conditions at the site Ground water monitoring well MW-5 (screened 80 to 90
feet bsg)and MW-6(screened 20 to 40 feet)were installed at the site on 04 and 05 December
2000 and should be included in the quarterly ground water monitoring program
' 6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the hydrogeologic conditions
' at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from review of previous consultants reports
and a limited number of available data points(ground water samples)and subsurface conditions may
vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
' professional recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
