31 May 2000
AGE-NC Project No 97-0301
' Page 4of4
' March 2000
• From December 1999 to March 2000, a substantial decrease in concentrations of dissolved
TPH-g, TPH-d, benzene, toluene and ethylbenzene were quantified in the ground water
samples collected from well MW-1 (Table 2), conversely, MTBE was detected for the first
time from well MW-2 and TBA was detected for the first time at well MW-1
• The lateral extent of the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon plume is not known toward the
south, southeast, northeast and east of the current area bound by wells MW-1,MW-2,MW-3
and MW-4
• The elevated petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations detected in water samples collected from
well MW-1 (screened between 30 and 50 feet bsg) suggest that this well may be screened
within or near the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon"core area"of the plume
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
• Based upon data collected during March 2000, AGE recommends
• Continued quarterly ground water monitoring The next quarterly monitoring and sampling
' event is tentatively scheduled for June 2000
• Continued utilization of wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 for characterization of
' ground water conditions at the site
• A search for all potential ground water receptors within a 2,000-foot radius of the site
' Installation of three additional ground water monitoring wells, the wells should be installed
off-site on South El Dorado Street and located southeast, east and northeast of the former
UST area to delineate adsorbed and dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon impact
' G.O. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
' environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the hydrogeologic conditions
at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from review of previous consultants reports
' and a limited number of available data points (soil samples and ground water samples) and
• subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or
implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
Advanced Ceo£n►ironmental,Inc
