E1 Dorado Street <br />' Stockton, California <br />' Project No 102 2 <br /> July 13, 1998 <br />' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> lie Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site in March of 1998 (see <br /> Report Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation and Winter 1998 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring, Cutter Lumber Site, dated April 24, 1998) The initial <br />' round of groundwater sampling was also completed at that time This report <br /> documents the second quarterly round of groundwater sampling completed in <br />' June of this year along with two depth to water measurements completed at the <br /> site in April and May <br /> I1.1 Site History <br /> The site of the subject gasoline release was discovered as a result of a <br />' groundwater monitoring event at the Western Lift Site in the southerly part of <br /> the subject Property (as shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3) during which a sample <br /> was collected from an on-site domestic well After a review of historic records, a <br />' former 1,000 gallon underground gasoline tank and an above ground diesel tank <br /> were identified along the western Property margin in the north central portion <br /> of the site Subsequent to that, hand auger borings installed in the vicinity of <br />' the former tanks intersected the tank pit and gasoline contaminated soil In <br /> March of 1997, nine hollow stem auger borings were completed in the vicinity of <br /> the former tank pit to determine the lateral extent of the groundwater plume <br />' 2937 Veneman Ave ,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax(209) 569-0295 <br /> I <br />
