' Geological7echnw-s Inc Page 3 <br /> Soil Investigation Report <br /> Bank of Stockton <br /> Project No 443 2 <br /> June 19,1996 <br />' • San Joaquin County Library <br /> • California Water Resource Control Board <br />' • Interview with Cutter Lumber Foreman <br />' 2.1 San Joaquin County Assessor's Records <br /> The County Assessor's Records (see Appendix F) show that about 50 feet south of <br />' the location of the water well, there formerly was a 12 by 20 foot building called the <br /> "oil supply" building The records also show that to the immediate vicinity of this <br /> building were two aboveground fuel storage tanks (ASTs) and one underground <br />' fuel storage tank (UST) One of the ASTs had a 2000 gallon capacity and the other <br /> two tanks each had a 1,000 gallon capacity There were also 2 service station style <br /> fuel pumps to serve the tanks The pumps appear to have been connected to the <br />' 1,000 gallon UST and one of the ASTs <br /> 2.2 Air Photos (County Surveyor's Office) <br /> Air photos covering the Property dating back to 1937 were exanuned to help <br /> determine the past use of the Property Based on the air photo review it appear that <br /> the Property was in agricultural use in 1937 and was first developed between 1937 <br /> and 1950 <br /> The 1952 photo shows lumber being stored on the Property and by 1963 several of <br /> the currently existing buildings appear to be in place It appears the Property has <br />' been in use as a lumber processing facility since it was first developed <br /> The 1975 and 1983 photos which are the highest quality photos clearly show the "oil <br /> Isupply" building, and a large AST is visible behind that building also <br /> 2.3 San Joaquin PHS/EHD Records <br /> In 1988 the County Environmental Health Department which has regulatory <br />' authority over UST's conducted an inspection of the tanks at Western Lumber Sales <br /> The records (see Appendix G) report the three USTs which were later removed and <br /> were found to have leaked In addition there is a notation which refers to a 2000 <br /> Igallon gasoline AST and shows its location at the northeast corner of the oil supply <br /> building <br /> I <br /> I <br />
