A groundwater
' mound in the vicinity of MW-7 was observed in this event. This is believed to be
a result of the vapor extraction system, which applies a vacuum to vapor
extraction wells in this vicinity, and can easily cause such a mounding effect.
' Excluding the mound, over the past quarter the groundwater elevation has risen
up to 1 foot from the prior monitoring event.
Over the years, the contaminant concentrations have displayed a gradual
downward trend in all of the wells except MW-813 and MW-9. The contaminant
. concentrations in samples from this event are markedly lower than in the
previous sampling event. This may be due to the effect of the SVEIAS remedial
system.
1
3.2 Future Work Schedule
Quarterly groundwater monitoring will continue. The well, MW-10 will be re-
exposed prior to the next sampling event. Continuous operation of the new
' SVE/AS remedial system will continue.
i
1
1
1 _
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
