We estimate that approximately 15 cubic yards of soil cuttings will be
generated. If PID readings, or laboratory analysis suggest the material contains more than
50 ppm of VOCs, the stockpile will be monitored daily as required.
At least one 4-point composite soil sample will be tested by a State certified analytical
laboratory for use in waste profiling. Upon completion of the waste profile, the material
will be transported by truck to the Forward Landfill facility in Manteca for final disposal.
Any rinse water generated during the drilling process.will be temporarily stored in.drums
pending pick-up and recycling by American Valley Waste Oil.
2.5 Finish Work
For wells abandoned by pressure grouting, the casings will be cut off below grade and
covered with cement grout. The remaining hole will be backfilled with gravel and the
asphault pavement will be patched. Overdrilled well will be finished with a concrete plug
after the cement grout has set up..
The surface remedial equipment will be dismanted for removal as surplus, or will be
scrapped. The carbon in the 3 carbon filters will be collected for recycling by Siemans.
3.0 REPORTING
A report documenting the well abandonment will be prepared. Copies will be distributed
to the SJC-EHD and uploaded to the Geo-Tracker website.
2937 Veneman Ave., Suite B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
