SECTION 2
SOIL AND GRO UND WATER:
INVESTIGATION WORKPL
AN.
l
i
This section outlines proposed work to better define the extent of;
contaminated soil remaining at the site and determine if-
groundwater has been impacted by the product in the soil. Followin '
determination of the status of thewill`
g`'
groundwater at the site, we will,
propose any necessary remediation measures for review by the San"
Joaquin County Environmental Health Division and the Central l'
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. J
Scope of Work E
This section outlines a scope of work to achieve the following"
objectives:
• Better define the extent of contaminated soil remaining
in the ground around two areas of higher contamination;i
identified in the October 1990 investigation;
• Excavate and stockpile remaining contaminated soil
from these two areas;
• Determine if groundwater has been impacted by the
hydrocarbon constituents in the soil;
• Define boundaries of the contaminated groundwater
plume (if possible);
• Determine volume of the excavation and stockpiled soil;
and k
•
Determine concentrations of constituents in stockpiled
soil.
C
The tasks to be performed to achieve these objectives are described in'
detail below.
2-1
