S� S+- <br /> } E 2. 07 <br /> � 4057 Port Chicago Highway Concord CA 94520(415)671-2387 <br /> FAX (4L5)685-9148 <br /> September 14, 1993 <br /> Project No 020502819 <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> 445 N San Joaquin Street <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> SUBJECT Report on Backfilling Excavation and Soil Treatment Cell Construction <br /> Manna Pro Facility <br /> 4004 South El Dorado <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc is pleased to submit this report documenting the backfilling of the <br /> former underground storage tank excavation and the construction of the soil treatment cell at the <br /> Manna Pro facility (Figure 1, Attachment 1) The scope of work was described in our July 30, 1992 <br /> document titled, Work Plan for Characterization and Remediation of Stockpiled Soils and Tank Pit <br /> Excavation Backfilling The scope of work was amended to include recommendations from Steve <br /> Schneider of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) in our letter dated October <br /> 8, 1992 Groundwater Technology sampled the stockpiled soil and submitted the results in <br /> December 1992 Based on these results, Groundwater Technology submitted recommendations for <br /> sod disposition in our February 1, 1993 letter to SJCPHS titled Recommended Disposition of <br /> Stockpiled Sods from Tank Pit Excavation These recommendations were amended by SJCPHS in a <br /> letter dated March 11, 1993 to Manna Pro Corporation and the SJCPHS and Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) approved backfilling the former tank pit <br /> The following documentation describes the excavation backfilling and sod treatment cell construction <br /> completed by Groundwater Technology in April 1993 according to the SJCPHS and RWQCB <br /> requirements <br /> Tank Pft Dewatering <br /> A sample of the rainwater that had accumulated In the tank pit was collected on March 24, 1993 <br /> The sample was analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) and total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons-as-gasoline (TPH-G) using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) <br /> Methods 5030/8020 and modified EPA Method 8015 and for total petroleum hydrocarbons-as-diesel <br /> fuel (fPH-D) using modified EPA Methods 3510 and 8015 The analytical results reported no <br /> 2519RO13 <br /> r <br /> /r <br /> Offices throughout the US Canada and Overseas <br /> ��lV <br />
