' Corrective Action Plan Page l 1 <br /> Former Manna Pro Site <br /> Project No 207 3 <br /> February 16,2001 <br />' 4.1.3 Thermal Oxidizer Installation <br /> The thermal oxidizer will be installed once all of the remedial wells have been <br /> constructed The oxidizer will be equipped with a 7 5 or 10 horsepower single or three <br /> -J phase motor capable of producing a combination of 250-300 cubic feet per minute of air <br />' flow and 6-10 inches of Mercury <br /> 4.1.4 Conveyance Piping/Manifold Installation <br />' Both the sparge pump and ICE/Carbon Umts/-Mermal Oxidizer will be maintained in a <br /> fenced enclosure adjacent to a nearby shed Power will be supplied from a temporary <br />' electrical service to be located nearby warehouse building Conveyance piping will be <br /> installed in trenches to protect it from traffic with the idea that it will be connected to the <br /> treatment equipment and eventually incorporated into a larger remedial manifold system <br />' Trenches will be back filled with appropriate back filling material (sand) and compacted <br /> to 95% of native soils Upon completion of compaction work, each trench will be capped <br /> with asphalt Vapor extraction and air sparge conveyance piping will be installed to <br />' connect each sparge well and extraction well to manifolds in the central treatment system <br /> compound Vapor extraction and air sparge well manifolds will be constructed to allow <br /> modification of air flow and extraction from the different remedial wells The vapor <br /> extraction manifold will include a mechanism that will allow sample collection and use of <br /> the well for passive air recharge Rotometers and magnahelic gauges will be installed "in <br /> line" on both the air sparge and vapor extraction well manifolds to measure air flow and <br />' pressure/vacuum <br />' 4.2 Remedial System Operation <br /> First Phase <br /> Once the pilot system has been installed, the system will be operated for a period of up to <br /> 3 months The pump will operate continually during the course of the first phase and will <br /> only be shut down for maintenance <br /> Second Phase <br /> Upon completion of three months of operation the system will be shut down pending the <br /> construction of the final remedial wells, installation of the final conveyance piping and <br /> manifold system will be constructed in the remedial system compound in anticipation for <br /> final system start up <br /> I <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave,#13240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
