El Dorado Street <br />' Stockton, California <br />' Protect No 207 2 <br /> March 2, 2000 <br />' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site at various times from <br /> 1990 to 1993 Quarterly groundwater monitoring has been conducted at the site <br /> since the first wells were constructed This work has been performed by several <br />' consulting companies Recently, Geo-Phase Environmental assumed the <br /> responsibilities as the environmental consultant for this remedial investigation, <br />' and this is the second monitoring event completed by Geo-Phase for this site <br /> This report documents a quarterly round of groundwater monitoring and <br /> sampling completed on January 21, 2000 <br /> r1.1. Site History <br />' Two 10,000 gallon underground diesel tanks and two 5,000 gallon underground <br /> gasoline tanks and a single 10,000 gallon underground gasoline tank formerly in <br /> use at the site were removed in 1990 Confirmation soil samples collected from <br />' the tank pit contained elevated levels of gasoline and diesel range petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons Subsequently, several thousand yards of impacted soil were <br />' exacted and removed to help mitigate the release <br /> In October of 1990, ERM West conducted additional work to characterize the <br /> lateral and vertical extent of the hydrocarbon contamination in the sub-surface <br /> This included installing 25 soil borings into groundwater of which, a total of 6 <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0295 <br />
