I
Former Manna Pro Site Page 2
' Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
' Project No. 207.2
April 23, 2002
fl
Later, Groundwater Technology Inc. (GTI) installed four additional monitoring
wells, a combination groundwater/vapor extraction well and three observation
wells. These wells were used for the completion of groundwater pumping and
f vapor extraction pilot tests.
Between 1996 and April of 2000, the principal remedial activity consisted of
groundwater monitoring. In April of 2000, a deep monitoring well (MW-11)
was constructed to characterize the vertical distribution of hydrocarbons in the
subsurface. At the same time, a new vapor extraction well and an air sparge
well were constructed as part of a pilot remedial test program. The
construction of MWD-11 was documented in the quarterly monitoring report
for the spring 2000 monitoring event. The results of the pilot test were
k L documented in the July 31, 2000 report entitled Report, Remedial Action Pilot
Study, Former Manna Pro Site. To date, a total of 11 groundwater monitoring
wells, 5 observation wells, and three test wells have been constructed on or
near the Manna Pro site.
k
The San Joaquin County PHS-EHD has concluded that the release at this site
has been adequately characterized and directed that a Corrective Action Plan
. q Y
be prepared and implemented. The first phase of an air sparge / vapor
extraction system was constructed and has been operating since February 14,
2002.
1.2 Scope of Work
r 3 The following work was completed during this round of groundwater
monitoring:
1. The depth to groundwater was measured in'10 monitoring wells, 1, service
well, and 2 observation wells located on, or near the site.
. 1
2. Groundwater monitoring included sample collection and subsequent
laboratory analysis from 7 monitoring wells.:
I
' 1
2937 Venernan Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
