El Dorado Street
Stockton, California
Project No 207 2
April 2,2001
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site at various times from 1990 to
1993 More recently, a deep monitoring well (MW-11) was constructed in April of 2000
Quarterly groundwater monitoring has been conducted at the site since the first wells were
constructed This report documents a quarterly round of groundwater monitoring and
sampling completed on March 13, 2001
1.1 Site History
ITwo 10,000-gallon underground diesel tanks and two 5,000-gallon underground gasoline
tanks and a single l 0,000-gallon underground gasoline tank formerly in use at the site were
removed in 1990 Confirmation soil samples collected from the tank pit contained elevated
Ilevels of gasoline and diesel range petroleum hydrocarbons Subsequently, several
thousand yards of impacted soil were exacted and removed to help mitigate the release
In October of 1990, ERM West conducted additional work to characterize the lateral and
vertical extent of the hydrocarbon contamination in the sub-surface This included
I installing 25 soil borings into groundwater of which, a total of 6 borings were later
converted to groundwater monitoring wells Later, Groundwater Technology Inc (GTI)
installed four additional monitoring wells, a combination groundwater/vapor extraction
I well and three observation wells These wells were used for the completion of
groundwater pumping and vapor extraction pilot tests
2937 Vencman Ave,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone(209)569-0293
Modesto,CA 95356 Fax(209)569-0295
I
