El Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California <br />' GPE Project No 207 2 <br /> March 22, 2004 <br /> • 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site at various times from <br /> 1990 to 1993 More recently, a deep monitoring well (MW-11) was constructed <br /> in April of 2000, and then abandoned in July of 2001 Quarterly groundwater <br /> monitoring has been conducted at the site since the first wells were constructed <br /> This report documents a quarterly round of groundwater monitoring and <br /> sampling completed March 17, 2004 <br />' 1.1 Site History <br /> Two 10,000-gallon underground diesel tanks and two 5,000-gallon underground <br /> gasoline tanks and a single 10,000-gallon underground gasoline tank formerly <br /> in use at the site were removed in 1990 Confirmation soil samples collected <br /> from the tank pit contained elevated levels of gasoline and diesel range <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons Subsequently, several thousand yards of impacted soil <br /> were exacted and removed to help mitigate the release <br /> IIn October of 1990, ERM West conducted additional work to characterize the <br /> lateral and vertical extent of the hydrocarbon contamination in the sub-surface <br /> This included installing 25 soil borings into groundwater of which, a total of 6 <br /> borings were later converted to groundwater monitoring wells Later, <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave ,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0295 <br />
