iGroundwater Technology Inc (GTI) installed four additional monitoring wells, a
• combination groundwater/vapor extraction well and three observation wells
' These wells were used for the completion of groundwater pumping and vapor
extraction pilot tests
Between 1996 and April. of 2000, the principal remedial activity consisted of
groundwater monitoring In April of 2000, a deep monitoring well (MW-11) was
constructed to characterize the vertical distribution of hydrocarbons in the
subsurface At the same time, a new vapor extraction well and an air sparge
well were constructed as part of a pilot remedial test program Based on the
results of the pilot testing, a feasibility study was also completed which
suggested that a combined program of soil vapor extraction with air sparging
was a feasible corrective method The resultant Corrective Action Plan (CAP)
was implemented in 2001 with the construction of the limited, first-phase of the
system The system entailed operation of one vapor extraction well and two air
sparge wells for a period of 90 days The first phase of the CAP was completed
in May of 2002 and documented in a subsequent report
'
Beginning g. g zn September of 2003, a 19-well soil vapor extraction / air sparge
system commenced operations, and is continuing In the interests of clarity and
minimization of clutter, the site maps attached to this report do not show the 19
service wells
1.2 Scope of Work
The following work was completed during this round of groundwater monitoring
1 The depth to groundwater was measured in 10 monitoring wells, and one
' observation well located on, or near the site
2 Groundwater monitoring included sample collection and subsequent
laboratory analysis from 5 monitoring wells
' 3 Collection of purge water from a prior monitoring event for recycling
2937 Veneman Ave ,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone 209 569-0293
Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0293
