k: <br /> February 14, 1992 <br /> ARCO Service Station No. 2130, Stockton, California 1 <br /> Results of analyses of samples of stockpiled soil will be submitted to the SJCPHS-EHD. <br /> If hydrocarbons are detected at concentrations that are not acceptable for dispoal in a Class <br /> III landfill.the soil will be aerated according to conditions stated in the aeration permit for <br /> uncontrolled soil aeration issued by the San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District <br /> dated June 28, 1991. A copy of the letter is included in Appendix E of this document. <br /> ® <br /> installation of Conductor Casing and Subgrade Pipinf; <br /> i <br /> A maximum of six conductor casings,two between each new tank,will be installed from the <br /> base of the new tank cavity to the ground surface. The conductor casing will be driven <br /> `® approximately 2 feet into native soil and then surrounded by clean pea gravel backfill. <br /> Twelve-inch-diameter polyvinyl chloride pipe will be used for conductor"casing. The <br /> conductor casing will allow soil borings to be drilled and vapor-extraction wells to be <br /> ® kms con:iructed between the new tanks to continue further investigation of soil conditions <br /> beneath the tanks. We also plan to insta:i subgrade components in the product-line trenches <br /> to later be used in a vapor-extraction system. <br /> '® LABORATORY ANALYSES <br /> Soil samples collected from the base of the tank cavity and product line trenches will be <br /> ® submitted to a State-certified laboratory for analysis of TPHg by EPA preparation Method <br /> 5030 and modified EPA Method 8015 and BTEX by EPA Method 8020. Soil samples <br /> collected from under the former leaded gasoline tank will be submitted for analysis of total <br /> lead and ethyl-dibromethane. Laboratory results will be discussed with ARCO personnel <br /> "® and with ARCO's approval forwarded to the SJCPHS-EHD. A copy of a signed <br /> Authoriration to.:telease Analytical Data form is included in Appendix E of this work plan. i <br /> i <br /> 3M-4W . 10 <br />
