The
i purpose of this work was to implement our Final Remedial Plan (FRP) and to obtain
verification samples from the walls of the most recent
cavato evalua tpdisposalosite loptonls.s
were also collected from the stockpile of contaminated
soil
FIELD ACTIVITIES AND OBSERVATIONS
Au e Barin s
To accomplish the tasks outlined in the FRP, five large diameter (10 and 30 inch) auger
i o remove the remaining waste
borings were drilled to a depth of approximately 15 feet t
ail contaminated soil found adjacent to the service garage. A vicinity map showing the site
location is presented in Figure 1. A Site Plan showing auger hole locations relative to the
former underground waste oil tank is shown in Figure 2. All five of the auger borings
encountered contaminated soil at a depth of approximately 7 to 12 feet below the surface.
Borings AH-4 and AH-5, encountered the least amount of contaminated BoringsAH--1,AH-2u
H 2ttasoil and nd
intersected clean fill material from the frrmer tank a
AH-3, however removed approximately 6.0 yd3 of contaminated soil from a depth of 7 to
nearly 12 feet below the surface.
nd
The borings were drilled using a truck mounted hydr AH 3 were pdri 1 dtusingthe 3U-inch
diameter solid flyte augers. Holes AH-1, AH-2, and
diameter auger, Borings AH-4 and AH-5 were driller at the intersections of AH-1 and
AH-3, and AH-3 and AH-2 respectively with the 10-t ;s 11 auger.
The drilling and soil remo4al activities were performed under the supervision -ctr ti-
California Registered Geologist who selected the baring locations and collected -
verification soil samples. Approximately 7.5 cubic yards of.soil contaminated with primarily
oil and grease.was removed for subsequent off-site disposal.
(916)635.0839 FAX(916)652-1411
2252 Fort Point Drive,Gold River,CA 95670
