The <br /> i purpose of this work was to implement our Final Remedial Plan (FRP) and to obtain <br /> verification samples from the walls of the most recent <br /> cavato evalua tpdisposalosite loptonls.s <br /> were also collected from the stockpile of contaminated <br /> soil <br /> FIELD ACTIVITIES AND OBSERVATIONS <br /> Au e Barin s <br /> To accomplish the tasks outlined in the FRP, five large diameter (10 and 30 inch) auger <br /> i o remove the remaining waste <br /> borings were drilled to a depth of approximately 15 feet t <br /> ail contaminated soil found adjacent to the service garage. A vicinity map showing the site <br /> location is presented in Figure 1. A Site Plan showing auger hole locations relative to the <br /> former underground waste oil tank is shown in Figure 2. All five of the auger borings <br /> encountered contaminated soil at a depth of approximately 7 to 12 feet below the surface. <br /> Borings AH-4 and AH-5, encountered the least amount of contaminated BoringsAH--1,AH-2u <br /> H 2ttasoil and nd <br /> intersected clean fill material from the frrmer tank a <br /> AH-3, however removed approximately 6.0 yd3 of contaminated soil from a depth of 7 to <br /> nearly 12 feet below the surface. <br /> nd <br /> The borings were drilled using a truck mounted hydr AH 3 were pdri 1 dtusing�the 3U-inch <br /> diameter solid flyte augers. Holes AH-1, AH-2, and <br /> diameter auger, Borings AH-4 and AH-5 were driller at the intersections of AH-1 and <br /> AH-3, and AH-3 and AH-2 respectively with the 10-t ;s 11 auger. <br /> The drilling and soil remo4al activities were performed under the supervision -ctr ti- <br /> California Registered Geologist who selected the baring locations and collected �- <br /> verification soil samples.
