• A Remedial Action Plan should be prepared addressing alternative cleanup methods,
r primarily for removing gasoline analytes from ground-water. The drilling of
confirmation soil borings through the closely-approximated locations of the north wall
and south-bottom samples in the backfilled overexcavation is likely the most cost-
effective way to exhibit that TPH-g and benzene analytes have been reduced by natural
attrition. W.W. Irwin, Inc. believes that an in-situ, soil-vapor extraction system would
not be suitable at this site because soil contaminants appear confined to a very small area
and are not so significant as to merit the expense of the planning, construction, and
operation of such a system.
8.0 CERTIFICATION
Should any questions arise regarding the information contained in this report, or if we may be
of further service, please contact our Merced office at (209) 725-2085.
