C Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2004 ENTERPRISE INVESTMENTS (Former J.S.Murphy Trucking) 17i 355 Enterprise Place, Tracy, California `I 1.0. INTRODUCTION At the request of Mr. Monty Warren of Enterprise Investments,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 355 Enterprise Place,Tracy, California(site). The site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1.Structures,borings,and well locations are illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is provided in Appendix A. 2.0. PROCEDURES Five ground water monitoring wells(MW-1 through MW-5) and one ground water extraction well (EW-1)were monitored and sampled on 20 July 2004.Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. 2.1. WELL MONITORING AND PURGING A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells MW-1 through MW-5 and EW-1 relative to the tops of the well casings. The ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these data(Table 1). After recording water level measurements, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, and MW-5 of standing water; a Waterra inertia pump was used to purge wells MW-2 and EW-1 of standing water.Approximately 5.25 to G gallons of water(a minimum of three casing water volumes per well)were removed from wells MW-1,MW-3,MW-4,and MW-5, approximately 13 gallons of water were removed from well MW-2, and approximately 55 gallons of water were removed from well EW-1. Ground water temperature, pH, and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer.Purged ground water C ..{ was containerized in properly labeled, Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums and stored on-site. Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B. 2.2. COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES Water samples were collected from purged wells MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, and MW-5 using new disposable plastic bailers, while samples from wells MW-2 and EW-1 were collected with a hose bailer after allowing all wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume. Each water sample was transferred into three 40-milliliter(ml)volatile organic analysis(VOA)vials containing 0.5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid solution as a sample preservative, and into one 1-liter Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
