02 March 2005
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0360
r ! Page 3 of 4
per liter(µg11) and 130 µg11,respectively. A map depicting the estimated.distribution of dissolved
i !
TPH is shown on Figure 4.
No other analytes of concern were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in any of the
ground water samples analyzed. The analytical results of ground water samples are summarized in
Table 2. The laboratory report (CTEL Project No. CT214-0407139), quality assurance/quality
control (QA/QC) report, and chain of custody form are included in Appendix C. Documents
confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water
measurements to GeoTracker are included in Appendix D.
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on data collected from the site this quarter, AGE concludes:
• Gxozd watex flow direction at the site on 20 July 2004 was inferred to be toward the
' nohwe` t and nneasf5 at a gradients of approximately 0.002 ft/ft and 0.001 ft/ft,
respectively. The gradient and flow direction this quarter are similar to those measured in
previous quarters.
• TPH-g and TPH-d concentrations in well EW-1 remain non-detect this quarter. No other
hydrocarbon compounds or fuel oxygenates were detected in well EW-1 this quarter,or have
` been since ground water monitoring began.(Table 2).
_ TPH-g was detected in samples from wells MW-2 and MW-5 at concentrations of 270 µg/l
and 13 0 µg/l,respectively. Correspondence with a CTEL representative indicated that these
detections are aged/degraded.
EThe lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water has been defined to the
-` north by well MW-1,to the south by well MW-3, and to the west by well MW-4.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends
continuation of quarterly monitoring events;the next event took place in October 2004.A work plan
is currently being prepared to define the lateral extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons at the
i site.Once it is submitted to the EHD and approval is granted,AGE will acquire all necessary permits
and begin the next phase of the investigation.
i
i
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
- i
