WELL HEAD SURVEY
On 01 May 2002, a California state-licensed survey engineer from Baumbach & Piazza, Inc.
surveyed the elevation of a reference point on the top of ground water monitoring wells MWI
= through MW5 and EW 1 to the nearest 0.01-foot relative to City of Tracy Bench Mark Datum dated
1987. The results of the monitoring Well survey are contained in Table 1. The surveying report.
(Baumbach&Piazza, Inc.) is presented in Appendix D.
3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevation, flow direction, and gradient were determined from field data collected on
11 February 2002;the contaminant impact to soil and ground water was quantified by the laboratory
analytical data.
!" 3.1. STRATIGRAPHY
Generally, gray to brown, damp to saturated, clay was encountered from surface grade to
approximately 20 feet bsg in well borings MW4, MW5 and EW1, from surface grade to
- approximately 15 feet'bsg in well borings MWI and MW3 and from 25 feet to 30 feet bsg in well
boring MW2. Dark brown, saturated, silty sand was encountered from 15 feet bsg to 20 feet bsg in
well borings MWI and MW3 and frozn30 feet to 35 feet bsg in well boring MW2. Lines of cross
section are illustrated on Figure 2 and stratigraphic cross sections are depicted on Figures 4 and 5.
Organic vapor was detected in the soil samples collected from borings MW 1,MW4,MW5 and EW I
at concentrations as high as 121 parts per million (ppm), from soil sample EWl-15. The PID data
is included on the boring logs (Appendix A).
E
i
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
