(Stantec) has prepared this letter on behalf of 7-Eleven, Inc. <br /> (7-Eleven) to document the soil sample results obtained during the fuel line upgrade activities <br /> conducted at 7-Eleven #19976, located at 1399 North Main Street, in Manteca, California (Figures <br /> 1 and 2).This work was conducted on December 6 and 14, 2016, in accordance with the <br /> requirements of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The purpose of Stantec's project involvement was to collect soil samples to assess subsurface <br /> conditions during piping replacement activities at the site. Stantec's scope of work consisted of <br /> the following tasks: <br /> • Prepare a site-specific health and safety plan for soil sampling. <br /> • Collect soil samples under the direction of the SJCEHD. <br /> • Submit the soil samples for laboratory analysis. <br /> • Prepare a summary report documenting the soil sampling activities and soil sample <br /> analytical results. <br /> SOIL SAMPLING ACTIVIES <br /> Stantec prepared a site-specific health and safety plan for sampling activities at the site, as <br /> required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The document was <br /> reviewed and signed by Stantec personnel performing work at the site. <br /> On December 6, 2016, a Stantec technician collected four soil samples (SB-3, SB-4, SB-5, and SB-6) <br /> in native soil near the dispenser islands at the locations depicted on Figure 2.
