Lathrop Road in
Lathrop, CA. First of all, you should note that we have reduced
approximately 97% of our BOD waste by not permitting centrifuge
sludge effluent to enter the waste water system. Due to the
high nutritional quality of this natural by-product, we have
found the pig farmers to be desiring of such product and have
made arrangements which greatly benefit the pig farmers as well '
as California Natural Products.
Different from our original plan to build a facultative
pond system, (which became unsatisfactory for reasons which
I discussed with you) , a new system has been devised. This
system incorporates the usage of aerated facultative holding
tanks with a residual time of 3-4 days, which will decrease
the BOD to levels which are acceptable for subsequent land
applications. These tanks are more easily serviced and may
be readily cleaned unlike the facultative ponds . They are also
considerably more attractive and the waste water is non visible.
Page 1
CALIFORNIA NATURAL PRODUCTS, P. O. Box 139, MANTECA, CALIFORNIA 95336 (209) 858-2525
