DER
As
As part of CNP's annual vadose zone monitoring and in accordance with
the Sampling and Analysis Plan, soil samples were collected from 8 borings
at depths of six 6 inches, 3 feet, and 6 feet below the ground surface (bgs).
The CEC values are considered relatively low and indicate a sandy soil with little or
' no organic material in addition to the soil ability to hold cations in suspension. The
relatively high pH values noted in most of the soil samples indicate that a relative
increase in negatively charged ions within the soil strata may actually increase the
CEC.
5.2 RECOMMENDATIONS
• Kleinfelder recommends that the groundwater and the vadose zone
continue to be monitored in accordance with RWQCB Order No. R5-2003-
014.
• A copy of this report should be forwarded to the RWQCB and the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department for their review and
comment.
This report is subject to the "Limitations" presented in Section 7 of this report.
