It appears that used <br /> oil js being picked up monthly (based on the tank label) and only the January 2015, May 2015,August 2015, and <br /> ptember 2015 records were available for review. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests <br /> igned off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three <br /> years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last <br /> three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> Metal fines were observed on top and around the metal grinding equipment located inside the facility adjacent to the <br /> hazardous waste storage area. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, <br /> explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br /> environment. Immediately containerized all metal fines and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> was{e. <br /> Waste absorbent is being stored in the hazardous waste storage area in a metal container with a pop up lid which <br /> opens via a foot pedal . All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing <br /> waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding <br /> or removing waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 5Q CCR 66265.,T92(a) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility do96 not have a tank assessment for the 500 gallon oil tank. The owner or operator of a hazardous waste <br /> tank shal btain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional engineer, <br /> registerd in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, <br /> storin , and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed. <br /> Uwr(ediately have an assessment prepared for the used oil tank.
