The following items are <br />required to be inspected at least daily: <br />1. overfill/spill control equipment, <br />2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br />3. data gathered from monitoring and leak -detection equipment; <br />4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br />hazardous waste; <br />5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br />Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br />Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />One 55 -gallon container of waste absorbent and one 5 -gallon container of metal fines had an accumulation start <br />date of 10-8-2015. Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on <br />site up to 90 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest <br />and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br />One 55- gallon container of waste absorbent was lacking hazardous properties. All hazardous waste containers <br />shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />608 <br />CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br />Two 55 -gallon containers of oil filters (observed inside the facility in the hazardous waste storage area) were not <br />properly closed. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled <br />as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. These above containers were closed as <br />appropriate at the time of inspection, ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way.
