Product piping will be flushed with water and again pumped dry prior to removal. All collected
fuel and wash water will be placed in DOT approved 55-gallon containers and stored on-site for
subsequent manifesting and disposal. Universal Environmental of Benicia, CA will haul
generated liquid wastes for offsite disposal. Liquid wastes will be disposed/recycled at Crosby
and Overton in Oakland California. Once decontaminated, existing primary fuel lines will be
pulled from their ducts and hauled for off-site disposal by Glacier as solid waste. Solid waste will
be disposed of at the Forward Landfill in Manteca, California.
During removal of the primary fuel pipes, copper wire will be pulled into the secondary
containment ducts to allow locating with electromagnetic equipment. Glacier will saw-cut, break
and remove concrete over the existing lines and excavate for removal. Removed duct will be
decontaminated as necessary and hauled to the Forward Landfill for solid waste disposal.
Concrete will be similarly cut and removed around dispenser and tank sumps. Soil will be
excavated to expose tanks sump penetrations and replace under dispenser containment.
Concrete will be similarly saw-cut, removed and excavation completed for installation of Phase 1
EVR. Broken concrete will be loaded to a Glacier truck for transportation to the Forward landfill in
Manteca, California
• Excavated soil will be stockpiled and covered on-site and reused during backfill. 7-Eleven's
environmental consultant will sample stockpiled soil, soil along the existing pipe alignment and
below removed dispenser sumps. Soil sampling, profiling and disposal (if required) will be as
described in the enclosed Workplan for Soil Compliance prepared by Seacor International, Inc.
• New Environ TM coaxial pipe will be installed in the trenches excavated for removal of the existing
pipe. All containment sump boots will be replaced with EnviroTm. Catalog cut sheets for the
proposed Environ TM products are attached for your review. Electrical conduits will be temporarily
removed and reinstalled with new entry boots by a licensed electrical contractor.
• All installed components including the existing dispenser and turbine sumps will be field tested by
Glacier prior to agency inspection. Glacier will provide the agency with adequate notice for pre-
burial inspection.
• Following inspection of below grade completion, excavations will be backfilled, compacted and
concrete restored to match existing. Dispensers will be set, lines purged and the gas facility
reopened.
• Glacier will coordinate with Tanknology Northwest for completion of tank, line and sump testing
upon completion of site work.
This workplan has been prepared by Glacier for agency use in reviewing and approving the enclosed
permit application(s).
