Publication No.: FSB300 <br /> Effective Date: 4-02-93 <br /> Fiberglass Sump Base Installation Instructions Supersedes: 1-15-93 <br /> Assembly Hardware <br /> T T Fiberglass Sump Base <br /> POLYETHYLENE Installation Tools Required <br /> RISER ae LID Fiberglass Adhesive Kit (AK8088) <br /> FRP ADAPTOR SUMP <br /> FRP CONTAINMENT COLLAR <br /> Step One <br /> Sand and clean the lower 3" of the ID of the fiberglass sump base and the <br /> SAND upper 3" of the ID and OD of the containment collar per fiberglass kit <br /> manufacturer's recommended bonding instructions. <br /> SAND >N D <br /> Step Two <br /> Prepare and mix the fiberglass adhesive kit according to the fiberglass kit <br /> manufacturer's recommended bonding instructions. Be certain to use adhe- <br /> sive only during the recommended pot life. <br /> Step Three <br /> Apply a uniform heavy coating of adhesive to all sanded sealing surfaces on <br /> COAT the fiberglass sump base and the containment collar using a brush from the <br /> kit.Take care that bristles and foreign matter are not left on sealing surfaces. <br /> Occasionally, stir the adhesive mixture during application. <br /> COAT COAT <br /> Step Four <br /> Once the adhesive has been applied to both surfaces, slip the fiberglass <br /> sump base down over the containment collar. Gently push down by hand <br /> until the sump base is fully seated on the collar. Use a flat stick or putty knife <br /> to fill in all gaps around the circumference of the joint. Do not cock the joint <br /> or drive the joint together with a hammer. <br />
