Joe Panetta — JNL Farms
95W, 111' St., Tracy.
page 2
Ulu
EHD appreciates your assertiveness to remediate the site and recognizes that -
continuing to excavate may be the most cost effective remediation when
compared to costs for re -mobilization and alternative remedial efforts. EHD-
recommends you reevaluate your plan of action for this site and proceed with the
most cost-effective approach.
This recently received work plan, Interim Soil Remediation Work Plan is
approved with the condition that you understand some of the costs incurred may
not be reimbursed.
Once the site excavation is backfilled, you should have your consultant evaluate
the need for, and feasibility of remediation actions based on cost-effectiveness.
Installation of previously approved replacement monitoring wells for those wells
destroyed in preparation for this excavation must be installed as soon as
possible.
Well permit applications for the additional monitoring well installations should be
submitted immediately. A City of Tracy encroachment'permit is required for
offsite "MW -6" and a copy provided to EHD with the well -installation permit
application and fee.,
Please continue to forward your comments and submittals to Michael Infurna and
you may contact him at (209) 468-3454.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael J.
