EXECUTIVE SUMMARY.
FORMER TRACY DINER
95 West 11 th Street, Tracy, California
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc (AGE), will be preforming an over excavation at 95 West l'lth
Street ( the site), Tracy, California. Previously the site was -utilized as'a gasoline filling station for
approximately 30 years (1940's to early 1970's). Additionally the former Tracy Diner occupied the
site until its demolition in March of 2003.
The scope of the work includes the excavation, removal, and disposal of contaminated soil and
ground water beneath the site; AGE intends to remove approximately 335 cubic -;yards of itilpacted
soil (approximately 30 -foot by 15 foot by.204001"wolume) using an excavator. During excavation,
soil will be screened for organic vapors (OVs) using a organic'vapor meter (OVM):..Excavated soil
that appears visibly stained or has a petroleum hydrocarbon odor will be considered impacted. The
excavation may be enlarged if high concentrations of contaminants are still detected in the soil.'
All impacted soil will be stockpiled on site for sampling and later disposed of at an appropriate
landfill. All soil -determined to be free of contamination based on field observations and OVM
readings will be returned to the excavation pit during' backfilling; additional clean soil will be placed
into the excavation as necessary.
In the event that ground water is encountered site preparations WMII include submersible pumps and
appropriate holding tanks to properly remove :A
and treat ground water.GE may determine that it is
necessary to trench along the western portion of the property to minimize the influx of ground water
to the site. Pumps will be placed in the trench to remove the water. Removed ground water will be
held on site in a temporary holding tank, treated and, with appropriate authorization, released into
the local sewer system.
Upon approval of the Environmental Health Department (EHD) work will commence at the site for .
a period of 10 days. After which the site will be developed info an multi -story office building.
