09 April 2009
AGE -NC Project No. 03:1055
Q
• Based upon data collected from the site, depicting a stable and, declining plume, AGE
believes the ground water data set will not be enhanced by continued quarterly ground water
sampling from wells MW -5 through MW -14 is no longer cost effective and will not provide
additional necessary information to the ongoing investigation.
• Constituents reported inMW- 11 depicts an up -gradient and off-site source of hydrocarbons,
(adsorbed and dissolved) which has not declined over time since the closure of the adjacent
site. Analytical data collected from well MW -11, located in the up -gradient and cross -
gradient hydrogeologic positions, suggest the dissolved TPH=g plume has originated from
an off-site source, the former Chevron Fueling Station:
• Differentiation of the dissolvedhydrocarbon-impactto well MW -8 is not practical due to the
up -gradient source of impacted ground water -within the City of Tracy Right -of -Way and
further on the property formally operated as a Chevron fueling station.
;Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated and is vital to the continued success
of this ground water cleanup effort. A copy of this. letter will be forwarded to Mr. James Barton of
the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB).
If you have any questions or comments, please contact our office at (209) 467-1006.
Sincerely,
"Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
roFS' M R ;G,laGi --'
2Q' A 11T sr
William R.
