41 it <br />n <br />L_J <br />GeoStrategies Inc. <br />Chevron USA, Inc <br />February 6, 1992 <br />Page 3 <br />ANALYTICAL RESULTS <br />Excavation Results <br />TPH-Gasoline, TPH-Diesel and BTEX were not detected (ND) in sample CW -1 <br />TPH-Oil and O&G were reported as 110 parts per million (ppm) and 280 ppm, <br />respectively Chemical analytical data and the sample collection depth are <br />presented in Table 1 <br />Stockpile Results <br />TPH-Gasoline, TPH-Diesel and BTEX were reported for sample CWS -1 as ND <br />TPH-Oil concentration was reported as 160 ppm and O&G concentration was <br />reported as 180 ppm Total lead concentration was reported as 100 ppm <br />Chemical analytical data are summarized in Table 1 <br />0 OVEREXCAVATION ACTIVITIES <br />Upon receipt and evaluation of the chemical analytical data, the excavation was <br />deepened to approximately 13 feet below grade, and two additional sidewall soil <br />samples were collected Samples CX -2S and CX -3S were collected at depths of <br />approximately 11 5 feet below grade on the southern and northern sidewalls of <br />the excavation, respectively (Plate 3) A representative of the SJCPHS witnessed <br />the overexcavatzon and soil sampling <br />Approximately 15 cubic yards of soil from the overexcavation was stockpiled on <br />the north side of the excavation (Plate 3), and sample CWS -2 was collected <br />from the stockpile using procedures described above <br />Samples CX -2S, CX -3S and CWS -2 were analyzed for TPH-Gasoline, TPH- <br />Diesel, TPH-Ori, BTEX and O&G Sample CWS -2 was analyzed for TPH- <br />Diesel, TPH-Oil, BTEX and O&G In addition, sample CX -3S was analyzed for <br />soluble lead Sample CWS -2 underwent a Bioassay Toxicity Test required for <br />soil disposal at a State -certified landfill <br />Ground -water Sample <br />Groundwater was encountered approximately 12 feet below grade Water sample <br />CH -1 was collected after soil sampling was completed The sample was <br />analyzed for TPH-Gasoline, TPH-Diesel, TPH-Oil, BTEX, O&G, CL HC, PCBs <br />and ICAP Metals <br />729702-2 <br />
