Limited Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan <br />239 West 11 to Street <br />Tracy, California <br />Project No. 2E-1108004 <br />Page 3 <br />• Observe and document the in field activities performed at the Site including the location, <br />elevation, and depth of the direct -push soil borings, and the abandonment of the direct - <br />push borings, upon completion of soil sampling. <br />• Subject the soil samples collected from the soil borings to a visual evaluation and a <br />volatile organic vapor scan utilizing a photoionization detector (PID) unit. <br />• Submit five (5) select soil samples collected from the soil borings to a California -certified <br />analytical laboratory for the chemical analysis of TPH- CC (8015B); VOCs (8260B). <br />• Collect and submit three (3) groundwater samples from the temporary wells to a <br />California -certified analytical laboratory for chemical analyses of VOCs (8260B). <br />• Compile and evaluate the information collected and prepare a Limited Phase II ESA <br />Report. This report will be prepared in general accordance with applicable sections of <br />California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Article 11 and will <br />summarize the services performed, the results of the soil and groundwater chemical <br />analyses. In addition, this report will provide Giles conclusions and recommendations <br />for additional Site Assessment activities, if necessary. <br />3. PRELIMINARY SITE ASSESSMENT METHODS AND PROCEDURES <br />This section describes the methods procedures for the Limited Phase 11 ESA sampling program. <br />The field activities will be performed in conformance with The Site Health and Safety Plan <br />(SHSP) prepared specifically for the Site activities. The SHSP will be developed in accordance <br />with 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1910.120. <br />During the sampling work, field staff will describe and photograph the Site-specific features <br />including aboveground structures, pavements, and above and below ground utilities of the Site. <br />Field staff will also prepare detailed sketches of the investigation area. <br />GILES ENGINEERING ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />
