Limited Phase 11 Site Assessment Work Pian
239 West 11 th Street
Tracy, California
Project No. 2E-1108004
Page 6
3.4. Borehole Abandonment
Direct -push soil borings will be abandoned by backfilling the borehole with neat cement
grout. The surface of soil borings in areas within improved areas will be covered first with a
neat cement grout and then asphaltic cold patch to match existing conditions.
3.5. Site Assessment -Derived Waste Management
3.5.1. Soil Cuttings Management
Direct -push boring soil cuttings methods will generate de minimis amounts of soil
cuttings. Therefore management of soil cuttings is unnecessary.
Expendable investigative waste (i.e. gloves and paper towels) generated during the field
effort will be considered solid waste. These articles will be placed in trash bags and
placed in trash containers located at the Site.
3.5.2. Purge and Development Water Management
Temporary wells will be constructed in the open soil borings. Groundwater grab
samples will be collected from the temporary wells and large amounts of purge water will
not be generated.
4. SCHEDULE
Giles assumes that In -Shape Health Clubs will make the necessary arrangements for access to
the referenced property. Giles anticipates that the soil and groundwater sampling will take
approximately one day. The soil and groundwater sample results are anticipated to be available
seven to ten business days from the date the samples were received at the laboratory. The
results will be verbally communicated to In -Shape Health Clubs upon receipt and data
verification. The Limited Phase II Site Assessment report will be completed within 60 days upon
receipt of all laboratory -signed sample reports.
GILES ENGINEERING ASSOCIATES, INC.
© Giles Engineering Associates, Inc. 2011
