Shell Oil Company Glen <br /> April 19, 1995 (9447-8613) <br /> • On December 7, 1994, Fugro personnel collected a total of eight soil samples <br /> from the estimated 200 cubic yards of excavated stockpiled soil from the top of <br /> the USTs These soil samples were composited into four soil samples for analysis <br /> I Based on initial excavation sampling results, on December 12, 1994, the area was <br /> over-excavated Fugro personnel collected an additional six soil samples from the <br /> sidewalls and bottom of the tank pit (Figure 3) The sidewall and bottom samples <br /> were collected at 14 and 19 feet bgs, respectively <br /> • On December 13, 1994, after additional over-excavation,Fugro personnel collected <br />' five more soil samples from the former dispenser area and three more samples <br /> from the UST excavation (Figure 3) Sample depths ranged from 4 5 to 8 feet <br /> bgs Also, on this date Fugro collected 18 soil samples from an estimated 400 <br /> cubic yards of stockpiled soil from the former product lines and tank pit <br /> • On January 6, 1995, Fugro personnel collected two soil samples from an estimated <br />' 40 cubic yards of stockpiled soil from the former product lines <br /> • On December 20, 1994 and January 12, 1995, approximately 690 cubic yards of <br /> soil stockpiled on-site were hauled to Forward, Inc landfill in Manteca, California <br /> for disposal <br />' A double-walled fiberglass containment system was installed and backfilled with <br /> clean pea gravel <br />' 2.0 BACKGROUND <br />' 2.1 Site Descnption <br /> The site is located at 4315 Waterloo Road, Stockton, California It is located within a <br />' commercial area of Stockton and is currently under remodeling construction <br /> 2.2 Adjacent Land Uses <br />' Commercial property exists northeast, west, southwest, and cast of the subject site State <br /> Highway 99 is southwest of the site <br />' 2.3 Generalized Geology and Hydingeology <br />' Soils encountered in the UST excavation were primarily clayey silts and sand backfill The <br /> deepest soil samples were collected at approximately 19 feet bgs No groundwater was <br /> encountered in the excavation <br />' 94478613 ACR <br />
