WORKPLAN - LATERAL AND VERTICAL EXTENT OF
GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION EAST OF MW12
LOCATION
Former Regal Station #603 was, until July 1998, an operating EXXON service station located at
6425 Pacific Avenue at the northwest corner of Pacific Avenue and Douglas Road, Stockton, in
San Joaquin County, California. Since that time the three UST's and dispensing system has been
removed.
The site lies in section 21; T2N; R6E; MDB&M at approximately 12 feet above mean sea level
(MSL), see Figures 1, 2 and 3. The parcel is #31 and is recorded in Assessor's Book 97. Lincoln
Village Properties has taken ownership of the three existing upgraded underground storage tanks
(USTs). Lincoln Village Properties is leasing the site to Prestige Oil who will operate the site as a
gasoline service station. Currently the site is being remodeled and upgraded.
Thirteen groundwater monitor wells are associated with this site. MWI, MW2, MW3, MW4,
MW10 and MW13 are all on-site (Lincoln Village Properties). The other seven wells are located
off-site. MW6 and MW9 are located in the parking lot north and east of the site (Lincoln Village
Properties). MW7 is located in the sidewalk south across Douglas Boulevard (San Joaquin County
easement). MW5 and MW8 are located east across Pacific Avenue (City of Stockton landscape
road easement areas). MWl l is located in the Festival Cinema parking lot (Mann Theaters Corp.
property) and MW12 is located in the planter southwest of the Kragen Auto Parts store (property
owned by Dr. Sidney Kerston).
VERTICAL AND LATERAL EXTENT DOCUMENTATION SAMPLING
PROCEDURES
SAMPLE POINT SITING DETERMINATION
A sample point is proposed. Sample point SB8 is down gradient of MW12 approximately 180 feet
east of MW12 within the northern curb area of Douglas Road. Water samples will be obtained
from the 1 n and 2"d water zones, Zones A and B as noted in the Levine-Fricke-Recon May 22, 1998
report titled "Intermim Source Area Remedial Investigation Report". Based on slug test data and
groundwater gradient information this sample point should provide degradation information and be
at the leading edge of the TPHg, BTEX plume.
