1386 EAST BEAMER STREET <br /> WEGE <br /> ES TERN WOODLAND, CA 95776-6003 <br /> GE4 ENGINEERS FAX (916) 662-0273 <br /> is CALIF CONTRACTOR#513857 A CORPORATION (9 1 6) 668-5300 <br /> REGISTERED GEOLOGISTS <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This update, STATUS UPDATE 39 , presents data from April 26, <br /> through June 28 , 1995 and includes the sewer discharge update, <br /> Quarterly Ground Water Monitoring and results of venting MW8 <br /> The permit to dump treated ground water to the sewer has been <br /> renewed Presently we are batch dumping the treated water from <br /> the "ConVault" whenever it is full The water for treatment is <br /> collected from the vapor recovery condensate dropouts and <br /> produced from the sampling and monitoring of the monitor wells <br /> by Lawrence Tank Testing (LTT) pumping service <br /> LOCATION <br /> The station is located at 6425 Pacific Avenue at the intersection <br /> of Douglas Road, Stockton, in San Joaquin County, California <br /> The site lies in Section 21, T2N, R6E, MDS&M at approximately 12 <br /> feet above mean sea level (MSL) (see Figures 1, 2 , 3 ) The <br /> parcel is # 31 and can be located in Assessor' s Book 97 on page <br /> 41 (97-041-31) On October 2 , 1992 , a licensed surveyor with <br /> Nolte & Assoc surveyed all monitoring well locations and top of <br /> . casing elevations to a known datum, le City of Stockton Bench <br /> Mark Number 12 , elevation 11 74 ' above mean sea level <br /> GROUND WATER MONITORING <br /> Depth to ground water measurements and water samples were <br /> obtained from all monitor wells on May 17 and June 21, 1995 The <br /> vapor extraction system (VES) was on at the time of the May 17, <br /> 1995 measurements, therefore corrections to the measurements were <br /> necessary to compensate for reducing the atmospheric pressure at <br /> the well head The VES was down for repairs on June 21, 1995 and <br /> no corrections for vacuum were necessary for the depth to water <br /> measurements <br /> Figure 4A, represents the measurements obtained on May 17, 1995 <br /> Ground water gradient shows a relatively flat slope to the east <br /> with depressions at vapor extraction wells (VEW) MW2 , MW3 and <br /> MW10 Recharge is occurring beneath the site most likely from <br /> the 1994/1995 rainy season Currently MW9 is the most <br /> upyradienc well, wesc of the site <br /> Figure 4B, represents the measurements obtained on June 21, 1995 <br /> Ground water gradient shows a relatively flat slope to the east <br /> with a mound at VEW MW2 The VES has been off for repairs since <br /> noon June 7 , 1995 At that time, the system was shut down due to <br /> excessive noise from the blower Recharge is occurring beneath <br /> the site most likely from the 1994/1995 rainy season Currently <br /> MW9 represents the upgradient direction, west of the site, with a <br /> 4 discharge occurring near MW7 <br /> PAGE 1 R603 UPDATE-39 7/14/95 <br />
