John Margowski <br /> Page 2 <br /> The proposed treatment of groundwater contamination specified <br /> discharge to the City of Stockton sanitary sewer. According to <br /> Larry Williams, City of Stockton Municipal Utilities District <br /> (November 5, 1991 telecommunication) discharge to the City of <br /> Stockton sanitary sewer was denied. Please submit an alternate <br /> disposal plan for treated groundwater. <br /> The extent of groundwater contamination has not been physically <br /> defined. Additional monitoring wells will be required to define <br /> the contamination plume. Submit a work plan for the additional <br /> investigation by January 25, 1991. <br /> PHS/EHD agrees that vapor extraction is an effective method to <br /> remediate petroleum contaminated soil. <br /> PHS/EHD recommends that you continue direct negotiations with <br /> Mr. Wilbur Smith II of Sims-Grupe Management Corp. with regards to <br /> the solvent contamination plume. <br /> If you have any questions or comments please contact Mary Meays, <br /> EHS, of my staff at (209) 468-3441. <br /> Jogi lu nna, M.D. , M.P.H. <br />• Healt/h,Of f icer/7 <br /> p l G- <br /> aurle A.
