(AGE) has prepared this <br /> work plan for the abandonment of four ground water monitoring wells at and near 515 West <br /> Eleventh Street in Tracy, California. <br /> Also enclosed are well destruction permits and the associated permit fees. We have scheduled <br /> abandoni-nent procedures for 08 December 1997. <br /> INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br /> Four 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells were installed as part of a subsurface <br /> investigation of the former underground storage tank (UST) area at the site. The location of the site <br /> is illustrated in Figure I -Location 1fop. Three wells were installed on the subject property; one well <br /> was installed on the property immediately north of the subject site. Each monitoring well was <br /> installed to a depth of approximately 20 feet below surface grade (bsg). In accordance with the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Service - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) requirements, <br /> all monitoring wells must be properly abandoned to obtain final site closure. The ground water <br /> monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 - Site PIM7. <br /> PROCEDURES <br /> In preparation for abandonment, each well cover box will be removed.
