rI <br /> 011,3 <br /> INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR SITE INVESTIGATION <br /> Consulting engineers, geologist, and professional firms <br /> experienced in the field of underground storage tank corrective <br /> action work are being invited to submit bids to conduct a fi= <br /> AND, ROUND IQ= IW7=GATION t SGWI Z for SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DEE) and WILLIAM R. STEWART, AT A SITE, <br /> LOCATED AT 515 W. 11TH ST. TRACY, CA. 95376. The bidder <br /> selected will provide services, under contract for a period of <br /> one year from the signing of the contract. <br /> The contract will continue after this date .if the DEH and William <br /> " R. Stewart, are satisfied with the work completed and the <br /> relationship with the consultant. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is 150' by 150' in size an he tanks were installed by <br /> Gulf Oil Company in 1962. There three underground storage <br /> tanks (UST) on the subject property (refer to attached site map) . <br /> One 10,000 gallon tank containing regular unleaded, one 8,000 <br /> gallon tank containing diesel, and one 6,000 gallon tank <br /> containing regular. These were removed and subsequently the <br /> earth around the tanks was removed and spread over the site. The <br /> earth was turned over every two weeks from June through August. <br /> The earth was replaced in the hole and clean earth was hauled in <br /> to completely fill the hole. <br /> Phases 1-2-3 were started, 2-3 were not completed. Three <br /> monitoring wells were installed. Two of the three were clean. <br /> DEH has requested additional site investigation and moni '" g <br /> which are to be satisfied by this bid coverage. DER's _` :is <br /> also attached for reference. If additional information <br /> desired by the consultant to help develop the bid, the c tant <br /> can access that information from the file of WILLIAM R. <br /> at DEH. <br /> WORK TO BE PERFORMED <br /> The chosen consultant will be required to provide all man powsk. , <br /> equipment, supplies, permits, and licenses required to perform <br /> the following work. This work must also be performed in <br /> accordance with San Joaquin County Guidelines for Sampling and <br /> Site investigation. State of California LUFT field manual <br /> (October 1989) the Tri-Regional board staff recommendations for <br /> preliminary investigations of UST Sites and to include appendix A <br /> (August 1990) , California UST Regulations (Title 23, Division 3, <br />
