The work was
completed on September 3, 1993 .
Monitor Well Destruction
Woodward Drilling Company pressure grouted all four on-site ground
water wells from total depth of the well to the surface with neat
cement on September 3, 1993 . The grouting was supervised by WEGE
personnel and observed by Ms. Margaret Lagorio of the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Division. Ms. Linda Turkate made a
final inspection of the site for the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Division on September 7, 1993 .
The grout was allowed to stand for approximately one hour.
Additional grout was added to the surface hole to replace any
volume lost from settling of the grout. Concrete was poured over
the settled grout and finished to grade in monitor well nos . 1 and
2 . The traffic box lid was set into the surface concrete at
monitor wells nos. 3 and 4 to protect the cement and grout from
vehicle damage while curing.
The San Joaquin County well destruction permit is appendixed in
this report .
Disposition of Stockpiled Soil
Less than one cubic yard of stockpiled soil remained at the site
from cuttings generated by the drilling of MW4 and one additional
soil boring on March 11, 1993 . The cuttings from the monitor well
and test boring field screened negative for volatile organics with
an HNu PID during drilling operations. No TPH-gasoline or BTEX
constituents were detected in any of the soil samples collected
from the two boreholes and analyzed by a state certified
laboratory.
1
