The initial
three wells (MW1, MW2 and MW3) were installed on May 5 and 6,
1988, to define ground water gradient and monitor any impact to
ground water originating from the underground storage tanks
(USTs) . The fourth well, MW4, was installed on March 11, 1993 .
MW4 was "required" to substantiate that this site could be
considered for closure. All wells were permitted through San
Joaquin County Health.
LOCATION
Former Desert Petroleum Station #787, site code #1401, is located
in Section 29 ; T2S; R5E; MDB&M on the corner of 950 11th Street
and 9th Street, in Tracy, California, as found in Assessor' s book
231, parcel number 09-02, see Figures 1, 2 and 3 .
MONITOR WELL CONSTRUCTION
The initial three monitoring wells, (MW1, MW2 and MW3) are two
(211 ) inch PVC wells that were installed into 10 inch hollow stem
augered borings, to the 29 foot depth.
Monitor well MW4 is also a 2" PVC well, but was installed into an
8 inch hollow stem augered boring to the 15 foot depth.
page 1
E -
